I'm here to SAVE THE PLANET but I need your help.

As an ECO Hero I help the children of this Planet learn how to SAVE THE PLANET! We all need to do our part and starting them out with the right knowledge is the best way to do it.

I traveled from the future where the earth is safe again. As an ECO Hero I make sure that the children of today continue to SAVE THE PLANET the way they already are.

We all need to do our part for this big blue marble. We only get one chance at this so we need to do our best at all times.

We do not inherit the Earth from our parants we only borrow it from our children.

School Visits

I visit the area schools and sometime events. I go through a presentation on the 4 R's. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, & Rethink. We all know the first 3 R's but ReThink is something that will propel us forward and help save the planet. All of us can Rethink the little things we do in order to help the earth. When i present at a school i make it fun for the kids to save the planet around them and this makes them Eco Heros too. Starting on the Eco Hero trail young is what i did when i was little with heroes such as Hoot the Owl and then Captain Planet. There are no roll models like this today so i decided to become one. Who knows someday one of the kids i inspire may think of a new way to save the planet!

52 Saturdays! Volunteer for a Year

I endeaver to volunteer for an event weekend. Most of them are Eco events such as cleaning up a lake or a street. Othere events are to raise money for a cause like Race for the Cure or Relay for Life. I love to help out anywhere i am and with volunteering i can but with a bigger purpose. Time is something i can give in abundence. I also bring my family to almost every event to share in the fun. I am not a rich person but i want to give back to everyone. This makes me rich.

MY CAR ECO ONE

This is the best gadget i have ever bought! The car itself is a GEM e6. I have added a array of solar panels to the car. There are 9 in all. These panels run to a auxilery battery under the front seats. This battery runs the accesories in the car such as the stereo and the 12 volt car addapter as well as the 2 USB charge ports. To charge the car with a completely dead battery it takes a little over 6 hours an only 0.067 cents (6.7 pennies) of energy from the power company each day. To offset this i built a 90 watt array on top of a pole in my back yard. this charges 3 75 watt batteries in a case. With this "battery box" my family charges every gadget in the house. From Laptops to cell phones and mps players too. We save about $100 in energy a year by doing this. So if you do the math then you will see that my car only costs $25 a year to charge. I have an excess of $75 that helps offset my other car and the several other things i do every day. On Feb, 03 2010 my car made it to 4000 miles on the odometer. At current gas prices ($2.56 per gallon around hear) this means that i have saved over $416.00 in gas since May 11, 2008. The average car produces 1 pound of Co2 per mile driven. If you apply this to my car then this shows that i have saved over 4000 pounds of Co2 from the air.

Twitter is a lot of fun and has a lot of knowledge flying around in real time. It runs faster then most news sites so I like to follow others. I Tweet all the green tech I can find and my followers so far like that a lot. I also Tweet about what ever event i am apart of at that time. I sometime Tweet about other things that are going on in my life that are fun. I also love to follow my followers. ECO HERO!

When I decided to become an ECO HERO it was no small task. I knew that I had to live up to the title so I took on all that is listed above and so much more. My goal is to live my life saving everyone and everything around me in a very ECO way. We always hear of what we can do but I intend to actualy do everything I can for as long as I can. There is no way but up and I plan on going as high as I can. I hope that you would help out in anyway you can as well and let me know if I can help you too.
